Objective:

  • The training of qualified personnel for research and higher education, which are considered to be intertwined in the field of electrical engineering;
  • The encouragement of research in the electrical engineering area, from a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspective;
  • The production, dissemination and application of electrical engineering knowledge in the economic and cultural reality of the Northeast region integrated with a global vision of sustainable development.

Target audience and requirements for admission:

Bachelor’s degree holders in the following courses: Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering, or courses that are equivalent to undergraduate courses in the area of Engineering according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. Also, graduate degree holders in technological courses in areas related to Electrical Engineering, as long as the academic transcript of the candidate’s undergraduate course includes a minimum workload of 750 hours in disciplines related to mathematics and physics.
